Jabulile has always had a passion for communication, and landing this role wasn’t only a natural progression for her career wise, it also gave her the opportunity to move to Cape Town.

Portchie

A little under an hour outside of Cape Town is Stellenbosch, home to prolific artist Portchie. Portchie’s path to art was by way of an education in economics and transport economics, followed by a job at Spoornet. Portchie’s first large exhibition was with 100 paintings, which he sold in one night. He has gone on to sell more than 16,000 paintings since 1994.

SLED Director, Cara Loening explains a little about the history and vision of the organisation, along with some of the projects they are involved in.
